I'm a hard fan of EVA since it's first came out in OVA.
and since the movie version toys were out, I 've been holding my horses

even before I watched the second movie, I've fallen in love with this provisional Eva unit-05

this EVA comes with a new character introduced in this movie, Marikami, the pilot.

EVA 2.0 is fully re-written, and fully revamped, and the outcome is the best anime I've ever seen to date!

and this new provisional unit is really awesome too!

it looks different from all the other EVAs for a purpose.. (u have to see the movie to know why)

and it looks fiercely awesome!

You Can (Not) Advance

After almost a year waiting for the second movie, finally Evangelion 2.0 is screened at cineleisure Damansara started from 4th March 2010. This movie is not going to be long in the cinema, so I make sure this time around do not to wait for too long (well, how can I wait, I was overly excited last saturday to see it, and saw it yesterday.. last year I watched evangelion 1.0 on the the very last day of screening and the very last show. luckily I made it!) This remake of the 90's series is just awesome! Have I told everybody that I have the complete series + Birth and Rebirth in a VHS format? Oh yes, I have them in that format when VCR was the thing that very day.. And today I definitely gonna get all the movies in BLURAY! And yes, for anime lovers (and not anime lovers), this movie has got to be seen in the big screen! The re-telling of this already great story is just compelling, the re-animation with classic 2d cell + 3d animation is superb.. maintaining the classic characters in every aspects including the animations, the costums and "attitude" just remind me of the originals and they make them even better in the movie.... The "baka" (stupid) Shinji, the very self-confident Asuka Langley, the weird Rei Ayanami and all the others characters... Now I can't wait for the 3.0! (well another year down the road I think.. but I'm sure it's worth waiting for!) Behold fellow anime lovers, this EVA is another history of anime in the making (it already is) - just like the cult classic AKIRA and Ghost in the Shell! (can;t wait for my Kaneda bike + Kaneda to arrived!) I will have to give this movie a full mark, 5/5!

Piloted by Rei Ayanami, this eva is Super Cool! ( with a cool bargain price!) believe it or not i have the full episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion in videotapes (whoever remembers or know that format, i used to watch pirated movies on those tapes when i was small.. indonesion horror movies - i still remember MISTIK, the most horrifying indoseian movie i've seen.. and it still is and of course US action movies... I remembered watching Robocop in my friend's house, Reduan is his name, when i was small.. and VCR [that thing plays the videotapes] at that time only belongs in houses of people with MONEY! a luxury item.. and all those movies, believe it or not, we rented it in a barber shop! they have a small room in the barber shop to rent movies on videotapes.. how cool is that! the qualities of the movies is of course very bad, but at that time i thought it's already very good.. well i was small, who cares about the quality of the picture.. we don't compare, that's all we can get our hands on anyway..) And, back to my EVA, i have EVANGELION death and Rebirth on DVD, and looking forward for EVANGELION 1.0 and 2.0 on blue ray! (of course!)
